Our journey began with Irishman Andrew Harte. A civil engineer by profession, Andrew had relocated from Ireland to Melbourne and started a civil plant-hire company. Through his interaction with plant-hire clients, it became apparent to Andrew that the labour shortage in the construction industry wasn’t being adequately addressed by traditional recruitment agency models. Bringing his down-to-earth Irish charm, sharp business acumen and first-hand knowledge of the construction industry, Andrew created Eire Workforce, recently rebranded to EWS Recruitment.

Meet the Management Team
Padraig (Paddy) O’Meara
Hailing from the midlands of Ireland. He decided to embark on a career in recruitment in 2018 after working onsite operating a moxy for Eire Workforce Solutions (now known as EWS Recruitment). Over the 5 years Paddy has steadily risen through the ranks, demonstrating exceptional leadership, business and strategic acumen. He is a seasoned construction professional with over a decade of experience in the field. Paddy is easy-going, trustworthy, confident and passionate about all facets of recruitment, negotiation and company growth.
Currently, he holds the position of Operations Manager, and is an all rounder. He spearheads initiatives that drive operational excellence and contribute to the company’s success.
Born in Melbourne, started a career in the world of Print as an apprentice Graphic Reproducer once he completed his apprenticeship continued with the company for a further 9 years where he gained many years leadership and management experience. Sean’s recruitment career began in 2004 in print recruitment leaning on the 20 years within the industry. Finding a passion for recruitment Sean has continued with the growth of the business from mentoring staff to overviewing all operations of the group. Strategically involved in all decision making.
Sean is the General Manager of EWS Recruitment. With 19 years recruitment experience covering blue and white collar in manufacturing and construction within management. Working closely with operations, finance, and marketing.
